Redpath roofing materialRedpath import the specialist long life Durashelter super heavy duty 230micron thickness "EVA" (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) roofing membrane from Belgium.  The clear Durashelter roofing membrane is extruded in to a very exacting tolerance and quality.  The polymer resin used in this specialist roofing membrane includes a high percentage of elasticized EVA which gives the roofing superior flexibility and longevity when exposed to New Zealand toughest conditions such as in Southland, Northland and in Alpine areas.  The latest technology "HALS" (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) are used in these two coverings to provide the longest possible life and UV stability properties.

Duratough 4 roofing materialDurashelter has a minimum expected service life of 10 Years!, yet has a replacement cost of less than 10% of the value of the entire building.

Durashelter is up to 30% thicker than the roofing membranes used by our competitors and offers farmers superior strength and resistance to weather and much longer service life.  This becomes particularly important when the standoffshelter is constructed on an open farm site with high exposure to wind.

Duratough 5 year UV warrantyRedpath has been importing and distributing and installing clear roof membranes onto buildings in New Zealand and Australia for more than 30 years and the very latest Durashelter product has been introduced since 2007.

Durashelter 230 offers a high "PAR" light transmittance level, - this plays a large part in the drying effect of the floor inside the Standoffshelter, Feedpad shelter or Wintering barn and this helps keep the microbiological organisms within the deep litter system (woodchips, post peelings, bark etc) to remain active and healthy whilst naturally breaking down manure/ effluent.

Installing standoff shelter roof The drying effect provided by the natural sunlight entering through the roof keeps your cows warm, dry and happy.

Redpath hold large stocks of Durashelter in New Zealand and operate seven building crews for its efficient installation and for long term maintenance needs.

Securing roofing materialDurashelter 230 micron is securely fastened to the standoffshelter building via Redpaths patented Lockstrip or Duralock aluminum clipping system.  These fastening or "clipping" systems secure the roofing membrane to the building without puncturing it and therefore further extends the service life of this long life roofing membrane.
